Captain quits. Decides to step down after (a) series (of) defeat(s)

Dear team members,

I have decided to step down from captaincy due to the continuous failure of our team.

It's with great pride and happiness that I make the decision to resign from captaincy. I have come to this decision after much thought. I have been fortunate to have had an amazing journey of forming the team and arranging some great matches. I am sincerely grateful to all who have helped make this happen. I am now ready and excited to move into the next phase of my cricket, as a player alone (not as a captain). I believe that this will help me concentrate more on my batting and fielding.

Thanks to all ostfoldian cricketers for your support.

Captain

You are like "the wall" who took the blame on himself for the poor show of his team and resigned his captaincy.

Thank you for forming the team and organizing some great matches.
